Filing taxes in the traditional world is already challenging—now imagine doing it in the Web3 space. With Taxman, users are guided through four simple steps to generate a complete tax report. Featuring a calming, visually appealing interface, this web app prepares the report by securely accessing your wallet, and the completed report is sent directly to your email, ready to be filed with your country’s tax authorities.

By securely connecting your wallet, Taxman aggregates data from multiple chains and wallets into one platform. Overcoming the complexities of permissions, multi-chain compatibility, and wallet integration, we’ve built a tool that is fast, reliable, and safe for users navigating the Web3 landscape.

Effortless Tax Filing in 4 Steps

Led the design and development of the BCard app, collaborating with the team on everything from UX/UI to defining the brand and communication strategy. Together with partners, I helped design the revenue model, leveraging interchange fees (1-2%) from card transactions to benefit users and communities. By pooling transaction volumes, DAOs unlock higher revenue rates, creating a sustainable funding model for projects. [Check here the documentation]

Research published in Frontiers in Psychology (2019) highlights that calming visuals reduce cognitive load, and the APA (2017) emphasizes that predictable systems alleviate anxiety by providing a sense of control. By combining structure and aesthetics, Taxman transforms a typically stressful process into a manageable and calming experience.

I designed the flow not just to deliver functionality but to elevate the user experience with a unique, thoughtful twist. Beyond simplifying taxes, it incorporates a feature to help users manage stress—a button to shift focus and reset their mindset.

Customizable Transaction Review

The user begins with a preview of all transactions, providing a clear summary without overwhelming detail. For specific entries, they can drill down into individual transactions, toggle between income or outcome, and verify data through Etherscan.

If they prefer a faster process, they can skip the detailed review and proceed directly to the final step to generate their tax report—offering both flexibility and efficiency.
